Food Review [Dec 01 08 edition]

Finds:

Fage: No fat greek yogurt. Only 90 calories for 6 oz. I use it in place of sour cream now. Yeah, it’s organic, too.

Steps:

I’m not allowing myself to buy any candy until at least February. I said, OK. So, that’s how that goes. I haven't eaten any either.

I made a deal with myself that my twice a month chicken wing dinner has to be cut to once a month.

This week’s chewings:
purple means you can find the recipe on this site

Roasted Dinner – Boneless pork, cabbage, oven fries and shoestring beets. Yummy! I just sprinkle the chops with salt and pepper and spray with a hit of canola and they come out perfect, tender and juicy in about 20 mins. I throw them on a baking tray with the potatoes and cabbage in a 400 degree oven. Zap the potatoes in the microwave a bit longer so they finish with the pork.

Tuna burgers, oven fries and steamed broccoli. Easy and convenient. I buy albacore on sale, so there’s always tuna in the pantry.

Frozen dinners. I slaved all day on the turkey feast. I was pooped. Had an Amy’s cheddar bowl. Mmmmm. My favorite.

Turkey, homemade cranberry relish, organic lo-fat gravy, elegant vegetable casserole, green bean casserole, stuffing, reduced fat Pilsbury crescent rolls and pumpkin pie.

Leftovers

Ate out. Behaved and had a salad with dressing on the side. No dessert and drank only water.
